Dec. 2007 |
The new CD,
“Sunday Morning Blue”, is due to be released around December 20
and will be available at First Night Williamsburg. This year,
Ronnie Barnes and Dennis Lee will join me for my First Night
performances. Bound to be a great night. |

Slipped out and
did a couple of shows with Natchez Trace and a solo spot at
Occasion For The Arts, Williamsburg. Felt good to be performing
again. |

The good thing
about my down time was that I finished recording the new CD.
Thanks to Ronnie Barnes, Chris Rosser, Mike Tramonte, Jordon Ponzi
and Bill Gurley for their talents and friendship. |

Within a week
of signing my first publishing deal, I was diagnosed with prostate
cancer. Talk about highs and lows. Fortunately, it was
discovered early. I had surgery to remove the prostate at the end
of August. All went well and no other cancer was found. A full
recovery is expected. Did have to cancel some performances but
those will be rescheduled. I plan on spending the fall around
home and return to a full schedule after January 1, 08. Thanks to
all for all the prayers, good wishes and concerns. OK guys, have
you had your yearly check up? |

June 2007 |
Signed a
publishing deal with Justin Wilde and Christmas and Holiday Music
for the song “My Name Is Justin”. Justin’s company is the number
one publisher of Christmas music. I know Justin will get this
song to a wider audience. |

Made my first
visit/ performance at the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival in St.
Augustine, FL. Performed three times during the two day
festival. It was a real honor to be invited. Thanks to all for
making me feel so welcomed. |

April 2007 |
Returned to
performing with Brent Woodall and Natchez Trace. Shows are
scheduled with Joe Diffy, Mark Chestnut, Wynonna, among others
through out the summer. It’s bound to be a fun season performing
with my good friends. |

March 2007 |
Returned to one
of my favorite places to perform, Acoustic Sounds Café in Little
Rock. AR. Joe Henry and his staff are the best. Also, got to do
a live performance/interview on Little Rock’s (NBC) Good Morning,
Arkansas. The hosts and staff were outstanding. Felt like I was
performing in my own living room. |

I
have been honored to be asked to join the line up of BMB Artist Management
as one of their artists. I
think this will be exciting times for all.
It will be a great way to start off 2007. |

I
spent a great summer/fall playing guitar (in between my own gigs) with some
dear old friends, “Brent Woodall and the Natchez Trace Band”. We all go back way too many years, but the friendship and the music made
it very special. We opened shows for Trisha Yearwood, Brooks and Dunn,
Sugarland and the Marshal l Tucker Band, among others. We
worked up a killer version of The Band’s song, “The Weight".
It was recorded live at the Trisha Yearwood concert and will be
included in Brent’s next release “Under The Covers”.
That will be me on acoustic guitar.
